Economic Empowerment for SC/ST
1. NSFDC(National Scheduledcastes finance and development corporation):
Under the ministry of government of India this scheme helps to finance, skill training, loans, marketing support for income generating activities of SC beneficiaries under double poverty line.
2. NSKFDC(National Safai Karamcharis Finance and Development Corporation):
Its a scheme which provides credit benefits to people amongst manual scavengers, karamcharis and their dependents for activities which generates income for socioeconomic development.
3. Special Central Assistance to SC Subplan:
Its an initiative for 100% assistance for SC as an additive based on certain criteria such as SC population, their percentage, backwardness of States/UT’s covered by composite development programmes to overcome poverty.
4. SCDC’s(Scheme of Assistance to Scheduled castes Development corporation):
The main aim of SCDCs is to identify eligible SC families and encourage them to understand and make use of economic development schemes. They also help in credit support, margin money at low rate of interest, help to avail subsidies and provide necessary tie-ups with other poverty alleviation programs.
5. Venture capital Fund for SC’s:
The main objective of this scheme is to fund and promote entrepreneurship amongst SC’s who come up with innovative products and ideas.
6. Credit Enhancement Guarantee Scheme for SC’s:
This scheme is to avail credit guarantee facility to start-up and young entrepreneurs of SC’s, who aspire to be part of neo middle class category. This is to encourage entrepreneurship in the lower strata of society which results in job creation and builds confidence in SC’s.
