PM’s Scholarship scheme under the support of the national Defence Fund was introduced to encourage higher professional and technical education for widows of central armed forces, dependent wards and assam rifles personnel. This scholarship fund varies from 2500/- for boys and 3000/- for girls per month. In addition to renewal scholarships, a total of 2000 beneficiaries  will be sanctioned both for boys and girls equally for each academic year. The important eligibility to avail this scholarship is to have minimum 60% marks in MEQ exam. I.e, 10+2/ Graduate/ Diploma. For a renewal applicant it is mandatory to pass the previous subsequent year of pursuing courses with a minimum of 50% and above.
